BoltBurz

BoltBurz is a macOS utility created to address a narrow and practical need: keeping a system awake when it must remain available.

It runs quietly from the menu bar and allows the system’s idle behaviour to be adjusted for defined periods or held indefinitely. There are no windows to manage, no background services beyond what is required, and no configuration beyond intent.

The application is built natively for macOS and optimised for Apple Silicon. It relies on system‑level mechanisms rather than visual tricks, favouring reliability over novelty.

BoltBurz does not collect analytics, transmit data, or introduce external dependencies. It exists to perform one task, clearly and consistently, and then step aside.

The utility is distributed free of charge via the Mac App Store and is maintained as part of a broader practice of building focused tools for long‑term use.

BoltBurz reflects an approach to software that values restraint, longevity, and respect for the user’s attention. Nothing more is required of it.
