BurzSync Privacy Policy

BurzSync operates locally on your Mac. Synchronization tasks, selected folders, task preferences, and related execution state are stored on your device. Folder contents are processed locally to perform synchronization and are not transmitted to Burzcast infrastructure.

BurzSync does not include analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, behavioral tracking, or remote telemetry pipelines. Burzcast does not receive your synchronized file contents, folder trees, or usage history through the app itself.

If iCloud synchronization is enabled, BurzSync may sync configuration values such as task definitions and app preferences through Apple's iCloud key-value store. This optional sync is handled by Apple under your Apple ID and subject to Apple's privacy and infrastructure policies. Burzcast does not control or inspect the iCloud service.

BurzSync only requests permissions required for the features you choose:

• Folder access for locations you explicitly select for synchronization
• Notifications for optional completion and status alerts
• Launch at Login for optional background startup
• iCloud access for optional configuration synchronization

The app does not access arbitrary folders without your action and permission.

Because BurzSync is local-first, Burzcast generally does not act as a controller or processor for your synchronized file content. Where limited personal data may arise outside the app, such as support requests or purchase-related correspondence, processing is based on performance of a contract, legitimate interest in providing support, or compliance with legal obligations.

If you contact Burzcast for support, we may process the information you provide, such as your email address, message content, and any troubleshooting details you intentionally include. Support requests can be submitted through the Support page. Please avoid sending unnecessary confidential file contents.

Burzcast does not retain the local file content synchronized by the app. Support communications may be retained only as long as necessary to resolve issues or comply with legal obligations. If you use Apple services such as iCloud, any transfers performed through those services are governed by Apple's applicable safeguards.

Under applicable data protection law, you may have the right to request access, rectification, deletion, restriction, objection, and complaint handling in relation to personal data Burzcast processes directly. Requests related to support communications can be sent through the Support page.

This policy may be updated as BurzSync evolves or as legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected on this page by revising the last-updated date shown above.
